Boi-oi-oiiiiiing! Robin Hood’s golden arrows hit the spot for pantomime fans with a chance to win tickets
Keen-eyed Nottinghamshire residents have a chance to win family tickets for the Theatre Royal Nottingham’s annual family pantomime, Robin Hood, by finding one of ten golden arrows hidden around the city and county next week.
The Theatre Royal Nottingham are setting Nottinghamshire residents a challenge to seek out ten sparkling ‘golden arrows’ hidden at different locations around the city and county, some at famous city landmarks and some at more out of the way locations, from Monday 15th November. Each arrow will contain details on how the finder can claim their prize; four tickets to see this year’s spectacular family pantomime, Robin Hood, at the Theatre Royal in December.
Lucky arrow finders will need to present their golden arrow in person at Nottingham Tourism and Travel Centre, on Smithy Row, just off the Old Market Square, by Saturday 27th November to claim their prize tickets.
Peter Ireson, Venue Director at the Theatre Royal, said: “With pantomime season nearly upon us we thought it would be fun to share some of that anticipation and excitement … and set a bit of a hide and seek challenge for everybody into the bargain! We can’t wait to welcome our ten lucky arrow finders, and all our other audiences, to the pantomime this Christmas. It will be an extra special experience this year for everyone involved. After the challenges of the last year and a half, just to come together and laugh and be silly again will be simply wonderful. Good luck, everyone, and happy arrow-hunting!”
Simon Redgate, Tourism Centre Manager at Nottingham Tourism & Travel Centre, said: “We’re really pleased to be supporting the Theatre Royal’s Golden Arrow competition to get more people to coming into Nottingham and enjoying the theatre this Christmas. The last 18 months have been incredibly challenging for our theatres and entertainment venues so getting people to come back and see shows is vital to their long term success.
“The Theatre Royal’s productions are a staple of Christmas here in Nottinghamshire for both locals and visitors alike. Their Christmas shows form part of the brilliant visitor offer here in the city during the festive season and will be a huge draw for families this year.”
