Family Drumming Workshops

This event has passed.

Come and join percussionist Richard Kensington to have some fun playing the drums at our family interactive drumming workshops suitable for all the family.

You’ll be learning how to make sounds on conga and djembe drums, playing call and response rhythm games and layering up fun and funky drum grooves to take your first steps into the exciting world of polyrhythm!

Specialising in Afro-Cuban percussion, Richard’s main instrument is the Conga Drum (Tumbadora) but he also plays Cajon, Bata Drums and Bodhrán as well as many other hand held percussion instruments from around the world.

The perfect activity for those family members who like to make a noise!
