“A blazing young pianist” The New Yorker

Boogie piano master Henri Herbert shot to international fame with his viral video, Henri’s Boogie, a spontaneous performance on the London St Pancras Station piano that has amassed an astonishing 28.6 million views. Now he’s one of the most popular boogie and blues piano players in the world with over 100 million video views and concerts from Hawaii to Lithuania.

Originally from the UK, Henri has called Austin, Texas, home for the past four years where he holds down a regular residency playing before Jimmie Vaughan every Friday at C Boy’s. In 2021, Henri performed for The Prince of Monaco at Nice Opera in France and continues to tour over the world, both solo and with his band. As a sideman, Henri has worked with Sue Foley, Carolyn Wonderland, Dave Alvin, Eve Monsees, Du Blonde, Charlie Sexton, Chuck Leavell, Kim Wilson, Jim Jones Revue, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Bob Stroeger and Bryan Adams.

Henri returns to Nottingham for one night only to celebrate the CD release of his Live in New York album – a recording of Henri on solo piano at the legendary Rockwood Music Hall in New York City that is being released on CD for the first time ever.  It’s a rare opportunity to witness first-hand the music that birthed rock n’ roll and inspired so many of today’s rock legends. In concert, Henri ensures that this rollicking sound remains as invigorating today as it did 100 years ago when boogie and blues began its takeover of barrooms and juke joints across America.
