Now Hear This is a fun-packed, fast-paced introduction to classical music and the instruments of the orchestra for schoolchildren aged 8 to 11, with the chance to join the world famous Hallé in making a sensational sound.
Your guide to the music is a brand new presenter, Ruth Rosales and this year’s concert celebrates the continent of America – from the cool sound of Latin-American dances to the film music of John Williams, in an hour of inspiring music.
There are two ‘Come and Play’ pieces for your young musicians to perform with the Hallé, which offer an amazing and inspiring experience that your students will never forget. The Hallé’s Education Director, Steve Pickett, has arranged Chuck Rio’s classic, Tequila and his own piece Carrots & Potatoes.
There are also two songs for everyone to sing along with: Let’s Cheer for Mardi Gras by Steve Pickett and Neil Bennison, and Mary Green & Julie Stanley’s Ai Caramba Samba from Out of the Ark Music.
This fantastic concert is open to all primary schools. To book, simply download the Booking Information Pack and send your completed form to: george.matthews@nottinghamcity.gov.uk
