The Role of Social Media in Supporting Refugees and Asylum Seekers

Tickets Free

Mojatu Foundation will be exploring how the role of social media is having a transformative effect on the lives of refugees. From phone credit and gps to the creation of online projects that help make refugee voices audible, media is becoming an ever-growing tool that allows individuals the independence and authenticity to share their story.

Join us as we showcase several works and projects from refugees and organisations who employ different media to change the lives of those seeking refuge.

Doors open at 10 am

We will be exhibiting artwork and video projects throughout the day.

Between 1 – 2:30 pm there will be the opportunity to hear from refugees and organisations on how they have utilized media as a tool of empowerment.

There will be an opportunity for a Q&A as well as refreshments provided.
