International Concert Series

Orchestral Series

Each Nottingham Classics season includes a twelve-concert Orchestral Series of large-scale performances from the world’s leading orchestras. In every season you’ll find popular classics alongside some rare gemsall showcasing renowned soloists and conductors. Each season also features special events and gala performances from artists making rare visits to the UK.

Sunday Piano Series

Once a month, between October and March, we present solo piano performances by some of the world’s leading pianists and brightest rising stars. The Sunday Piano Series offers an hour-long mix of piano masterpieces, with the chance to chat with the performers over tea, coffee and cake after the concert (all included in your ticket price). With the concert starting at 11am, there’s also plenty of time to make it home for Sunday lunch after the concert.

After Hours Performances

Four concerts in the season also feature a post-show After Hours performance of contemporary or world music. They offer forty minutes of immersive music, directly after the main concert and are free to all concert ticket holders or £5 for those who just want to join us for the late night performance. Previous events have featured saxophonist Jess Gillam, music by Steve Reich and Philip Glass and tango ensemble Frambuesas.

Discovering Music

Our Discovering Music concerts will help you to discover some lesser known orchestral music. Performed by the BBC Philharmonic, each event focuses on a particular composer introduced by BBC broadcaster, Stephen Johnson, with live orchestral excerpts. All tickets are just £16 (or free to Season Ticket holders) giving you an affordable way to enjoy some of the less familiar music in the orchestral repertoire.
