This hilarious play, which is set in the 1930s, introduces the inept and bungling Inspector Pratt, a police officer who battles against the odds and his own incompetence when called upon to solve a murder at a country manor house. When it becomes clear that the murderer isn’t finished yet the only question left is will the miscreant be unmasked before everyone else has met their doom or will the audience die laughing first? This spoof of the Agatha Christie ‘whodunnit’ genre is the first of the Inspector Pratt trilogy.
