A delight for all ages, this special matinee performance packs all the drama, magic and music of Mozart’s magical fairy tale into a perfect show for schools (Key Stage 2-4), families and anyone wanting a shorter version of the opera.

With some of the greatest operatic music ever written, the dashing prince Tamino is on a quest to find love and happiness. With the bird-catcher Papageno at his side and armed with a magic flute, he must battle dangers, trials and an evil sorcerer to rescue the imprisoned Pamina. Yet, just when success seems within reach, the Queen of the Night has a final surprise in store…

Book a half-day in-school workshop for Key Stage 2 students. This fun and engaging session explores the music, plot, and characters in Mozart’s opera, led by a vocal animateur and drama practitioner from Opera North’s Education team. To find out more and book, email: schools@operanorth.co.uk.
