“Listen to many, speak to a few.”
Following an encounter with the ghost of his murdered father, Prince Hamlet of Denmark seeks to uncover the truth behind his untimely death. Suspicion, betrayal, and conflict lead him to unravel a web of deceit that spirals toward tragedy.
This powerful, distilled adaptation created by TRCH’s newly formed Shakespeare Nation company draws on Shakespeare’s original text with a fresh perspective to reveal Hamlet’s journey in his relentless search for truth. which asks what happens when Hamlet breaks through the noise and interrogates moments of silence.
Performed in the unique Royal Concert Hall, Nottingham, this production embraces the acoustics of the space, amplifying the power of both sound and silence in this timeless story.
Directed by Rebecca Morris, this production is made possible thanks to the support of the Royal Shakespeare Company and funding from the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation and the Arts Council.
