A Not-So-Silent Night in Bethlehem

There’s no room at the inn – in fact, there’s barely room to think. Caleb and Dinah are trying to run a business while half of Judea turns up for the census, and an archangel starts philosophising in the bar after a few too many of the City of David’s finest.

Up on the hill, three shepherds are locked in an existential spiral about stars, sheep, and the meaning of sandwiches. Something’s happening, nobody’s quite sure what, but it’s probably significant.

Written and directed by Rebecca Morris, Inn Side Story is a festive comedy set on the margins of the nativity. The miracle is quietly approaching, the locals are mostly confused, and somewhere in the chaos, something sacred is about to unfold.

Join us on the Third Stage for a night of laughter and a sideways look at Bethlehem’s busiest evening.
